Poor nutrition

In order to function properly, our body needs ‘’fuel’’, nutrients. They are found in food we eat, so, having them enough or lower than needed, depends on our diet. Healthy nutrition means, that you satisfy your daily need for every nutrient. Poor nutrition means under or over-eating, not eating healthy food and eat food high in fat but low in fibre. In the short-term, this kind of diet will cause stress and tiredness. If you don’t eat properly for a long time, problems are severe. High cholesterol, depression, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke, tooth decay, cancers, high blood pressure, and overweight are just some of the problems!

Poor nutrition is responsible for obesity, which is responsible for many diseases. People with this problem have clogged arteries, so, their blood pressure is higher. According to one study, obesity is the main cause for developing type 2 diabetes! Sugar in unhealthy food, have a negative effect on vitamin E, which means you are sleepy and unable to focus. Vitamins B, C, D, and E are important for proper brain function. If you don’t have a recommended daily intake of them, your brain will work slower!

You should have a daily intake of calcium, 1000 mg -1300 mg. If you cannot satisfy this need, your body will start dissolving your bones, in order to increase calcium levels. This means you will have weaker bones! Poor nutrition is responsible for building plaque in your blood vessels. Eventually, they break free as a clot. If they clog some arteries, this will cause a stroke! It is extremely dangerous if that clot goes to the brain or to the heart!
